FAQs

Am I a candidate for hormone therapy?

The best way to find out is with a simple blood test. We run a comprehensive female hormone panel that looks at testosterone & the other hormones that shift with age, then evaluate your labs alongside your symptoms to determine which hormones, if any, need support.

How is treatment administered?

For TRT we use subcutaneous or intramuscular injections of low dose testosterone cypionate, typically once or twice weekly. Injections provide the most consistent hormone levels. We teach you how to self-inject at home so you’re not dependent on clinic visits. If your plan includes other hormones such as progesterone or estrogen, your provider will walk you through exactly how each one is taken.

Will hormone therapy affect fertility?

Hormone therapy is not birth control & can affect fertility. If you are planning a pregnancy, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding, tell your provider during your consult. Your plan gets built around that. This is an important conversation we have with every patient before starting.

How quickly will I feel results?

Most patients notice improvements in energy & mood within 2–4 weeks. Physical changes like regained muscle mass & fat loss typically become more apparent over 3–6 months. Libido often improves within the first 4–6 weeks.

Does insurance cover hormone therapy?

Our hormone program is self-pay: $249 for your first 3 months (new patients), then $299 every 3 months, if low dose TRT is your route. You start with a $100 booking deposit that counts toward your total, & adding other hormones may adjust the price. Many patients find our pricing significantly lower than insurance-covered alternatives once co-pays & deductibles are factored in. Bloodwork can be run through your insurance via Sonora Quest.

Are there side effects?

Possible side effects include acne, mild water retention, & changes in mood or skin. Most of which are manageable with dose adjustments. We monitor your labs regularly to catch any issues early & keep your therapy optimized & safe.
